Since the battery is in the rear, and any higher end system would be relying on its own relays and fuses, why would the power be ran to the engine bay? I believe his radio would cut all the way off and back on. I would switch the wires around at the amp, just to eliminate the possibility of the amp being the cause; it's easier to try that before taking the door panel off. I ended up pulling the left side padding in the trunk to access the amp and removed all connectors to the amp with the vehicle off. Sorry for the hassle.   3. I found my ground worked loose from the bolt/terminator I had it grounded to.

  6. You have to hit it pretty hard, sound usually comes back after a hit or two.
