Only my left rear tire is rubbing? it took me a number of tries to grind enough off. When I'm at a light and shift into first and take off, sometimes I hear a soft thud coming from that area (might not be related, since I've been hearing the I am going to start with one and work my way down the list of what to do/have checked.

I soaked it for 3 days with pb blaster before I got it to budge. Took forever but I finally got it out.
If I put my original 15 phonies on, there is loads of space between the top fender and tire. Maybe one recommended by your insurance company. They are 225/45/18's and I have been experiencing "rubbing" ONLY on the driver side rear tire.
